TO CONFERENCE AND DINNER AT HARVARD UNIVERSITY's KENNEDY SCHOOL OF GOVERNMENT

FROM SOUTH STATION (Amtrak and Bus)

BY SUBWAY

Take the subway "T" "INBOUND". It will cost one token, $1.

Get off at HARVARD SQUARE.

Come out of the station near the Harvard News Stand, you will be facing the Harvard Coop.

Head left down JFK Street towards the river.

You will pass Pizzeria Uno on your left and Urban Outfitters on your right.

Continue down the street for three blocks.

The third block is Eliot Street and has Dunkin' Donuts on the corner.

The Kennedy School is directly across the street from Dunkin' Donuts.

FROM LOGAN AIRPORT

1) BY SUBWAY:

45-60 minutes, $1 for 1 token for 1 trip

Take SHUTTLE BUS to AIRPORT SUBWAY

Take BLUE LINE "INBOUND" to

GOVERNMENT CENTER (4 stops)

SWITCH TO GREEN LINE "OUTBOUND" to

PARK STREET (1 stop)

SWITCH TO RED LINE "OUTBOUND", DIRECTION ALEWIFE - to

HARVARD SQURE (4 stops). 

Come out of the station near the Harvard News Stand, you will be facing the Harvard Coop.

Head left down JFK Street towards the river.

You will pass Pizzeria Uno on your left and Urban Outfitters on your right.

Continue down the street for three blocks.

The third block is Eliot Street and has Dunkin' Donuts on the corner.

The Kennedy School is directly across the street from Dunkin' Donuts.

3) BY CAR:

Exit Logan Airport and follow the signs to Boston, which will bring you to and through the Sumner Tunnel.

At the end of the tunnel, take a wide right and go up the ramp on to Route 93 North.

Stay on that for only two exits.

Take the second exit onto Storrow Drive.

Do not follow the "Cambridge" signs, but continue along the river on Storrow Drive West for approximately four miles.

For land-marks, you will pass the "Massachusetts Avenue - Cambridge" exit and then the Guest Quarters Hotel but stay on Storrow Drive. 

Directly after the Guest Quarters you will see a right-hand exit marked "Harvard Square - Cambridge".

Take the exit and follow it up to the right and across the Charles River.

Go straight through the first traffic light and you will now be on

John F.Kennedy Street and the first building on your left is the School.

At the next light take a left on to Eliot Street. 

Finding metered parking is extremely difficult in Harvard Square, thus we suggest using Public Parking. 

There is a garage on Eliot Street on the right, just after the light or if you continue straight through another light there is also parking available in the Charles Hotel which will be to your left. 

FROM MOTEL 6 in BRAINTREE

The subway "T" station is directly across the street.

This is the end of the line so all trains go to Boston.

The fare is 2 tokens ($2) each way.

Put both tokens in upon entering the station.

Get off at HARVARD SQUARE

Come out of the station near the Harvard News Stand, you will be facing the Harvard Coop.

Head left down JFK Street towards the river.

You will pass Pizzeria Uno on your left and Urban Outfitters on your right.

Continue down the street for three blocks.

The third block is Eliot Street and has Dunkin' Donuts on the corner.

FROM THE MASSACHUSETTS TURNPIKE - ROUTE 90

BY CAR

Heading East on Route 90, take the "Cambridge/Allston" turn-off,

which is Exit #18...a left-hand exit. 

After the toll, follow the "Cambridge" signs until you reach the

Charles River, where there is a clump of traffic lights.

The Guest Quarters Hotel will be on your right.

Take a left at the light (just before going over the river) on to

Soldiers Field Road. Take your right at the exit marked "Harvard Square - Cambridge" and follow it across the Charles River

Go straight through the first traffic light and you will now be on John F. Kennedy Street and the first building on your left is the School.

At the next light take a left on to Eliot Street on the right, just after the light, or if you continue straight through another light there is also parking available in the Charles Hotel which will be to your left.

FROM ROUTE 2

BY CAR

Follow Route 2 East into Cambridge and stay on it as it changes from a major highway down to a four lane thoroughfare.

It will become the Alewife Brook Parkway, then the Fresh Pond Parkway and eventually Memorial Drive, but will still be marked as Route 2 East.

Turn left on Memorial Drive (at the Charles River) and one minute down turn left again at the sign marked "Harvard Square", which is John F. Kennedy Street and the first building on your left is the School.

At the next light take a left on to Eliot Street.

Finding metered parking is extremely difficult in Harvard Square, thus we suggest using Public Parking.

There is a garage available on Eliot Street on the right, just after the light or if you continue straight through another light there is also parking available in the Charles Hotel which will be to your left. 

FROM ROUTES 95, 1 OR 93 (NORTH)

BY CAR

Follow Route 95 South to the Peabody (Mass.) area and switch on to Route 1 South.

Route 1 continues for several miles, crosses the Tobin Bridge and then merges with Route 93 South. 

Immediately after this merge, take the exit to the right for Storrow Drive (Exit 26) and follow signs for Storrow Drive West.

Stay on Storrow Drive for roughly 4 miles.

For land-marks, you will pass the "Massachusetts Avenue - Cambridge" exit and then the Guest Quarters Hotel...but stay on Storrow Drive.

Directly after the Guest Quarters you will see a right-hand exit marked "Harvard Square -Cambridge".

Take the exit and follow it up to the right and across the Charles River.

Then go straight through the first traffic light (which is Memorial Drive) and you will now be on John F. Kennedy Street - the first building on your left is the School.

TO MOTEL 6 BRAINTREE

FROM SOUTH STATION (Amtrak and Bus)

BY SUBWAY

Take the subway "T" "OUTBOUND".

BE SURE to get on the Braintree train

(it alternates with the Ashmont trains).

It will take one token upon entering and another token when leaving the Braintree Station ($2).

When leaving the station go left.

You will see the Motel 6 across the street.

FROM LOGAN AIRPORT

1) BY LOGAN EXPRESS:

A bus leaves from the terminals every half hour for Braintree.

About $9. You can pay when you arrive at the Braintree stations.

It is a short taxi ride to Motel 6 or we may be able to arrange for pick up.

2) BY SUBWAY:

Take the AIRPORT SHUTTLE from any terminal to the

AIRPORT subway T station.

It will take one token - $1

Take the BLUE LINE "INBOUND" to the

GOVERNMENT CENTER stop.

At Government Center,

SWITCH TO THE GREEN LINE "INBOUND" and

Take the T one stop to PARK STREET.

At Park Street, switch to the RED LINE TO BRAINTREE.

Be sure to take a BRAINTREE train.

You will need to pay another token, $1 when exiting the Braintree station.
