Remember, we're not talking about negotiated contracts. You don't see these terms until after you pay your money, open the package and start installing the software.

You CAN get a refund if you reject the terms, but what's the point. If you buy another product, you'll probably find that it has the same terms. Customers have no power to compare terms before the sale, so there's no competition on these.

This is a far, far cry from traditional contract law in the United States. Many very conservative lawyers have rejected UCITA because of its anti-competitive, free-market-stifling effects.
