Nondisclosure and Competition
I downloaded these on July 20, 1999 (ViruScan, a mass-market product)
- "The customer shall not disclose the results of any benchmark test to any third party without McAfee's prior written approval."
- "The customers will not publish reviews of the product without prior consent from McAfee."
If there are no strong critical reviews, wont people buy the best-advertised, most established product?
These clauses are enforced in the negotiated-contracts market. What makes us sure that they wont be enforced (given UCITA) in the mass market?
