Pattern Proposals Clusters -- May 19, 2002 -- DIAC-02

Public Sphere Project

Pattern Clusters

Pattern Language development report: During an Open Space session on May 18 and May 19, 2002, 10-15 attendees at the Shaping the Network Society symposium re-arranged the pattern proposals into "clusters" that seemed to belong together. We worked with abridged pattern proposals which had originally been posted in order of submission on foam core. All patterns had been entered into the pattern resource site. The resource is currently open for more submissions (and for editing of existing pattern proposals).

The information in tabular form below represents a reasonable approximation of the results of the clustering activity. There is no implied order of the nine "boards." For more information on the project, see the main symposium page or the pattern page.

Upcoming events include a presentation and workshop on the project at the Participatory Design Conference in Malmo, Sweden, June 2002. There are also several suggestions afoot for enhancements to the pattern resource site.

See project history and upcoming plans.for more information about status and goals.
