Shaping the Network Society: Patterns for Participation, Action and Change -- Seattle Information Shaping the Network Society: Patterns for Participation, Action and
Change

Welcome to Seattle!

Symposium Hotel

The attractive University of Washington campus is the primary site for the symposium. The conference headquarters hotel and site for some symposium activities, including the opening reception on Thursday, May 16, is the Courtyard by Marriott--Seattle Downtown/Lake Union. Additional accommodations are available at the neighboring Residence Inn by Marriott--Seattle Downtown/Lake Union. Both hotels overlook beautiful Lake Union yet are in the heart of all that downtown Seattle has to offer. These venues promise an enjoyable as well as stimulating environment. Plus, in May, the city of Seattle has lots of sunshine and temperatures in the mid-60s.

Beyond the conference program and the relaxing delights of Seattle, special events, such as a Lakes, Locks, and Lively reception cruise from Puget Sound through the famous Chittenden Locks into Lake Union, are planned to allow time for informal interaction with other attendees.

For further information about visiting Seattle, including complete details on attractions and entertainment, please contact the Seattle-King Couinty Convention and Visitors Bureau (telephone: 206-461-5840; web address:http://www.seeseattle.org
