Letter to workshop coordinators

PDC'2000: Letter to workshop coordinators

Dear Workshop Coordinator(s):

We are pleased to include your Workshop as part of the PDC 2000 program. This year we will offer the workshops on the first afternoon (Wed. 29 Nov.) of the conference so that participants can get some hands-on experience with participatory methods, concepts, and design practices.

There are ten Workshops planned and participants will be asked to sign-up for a specific one before the conference when they register. Each Workshop can be up to 3 hours long. Please plan your activities so that all of the participants in your group can actively participate. You might want to consider materials so that the participants get a clear idea of what they expect to get out of your session.

We would like to include a brief description of your Workshop in the Preliminary program on the Web site. Please send us a short description of the workshop and its goals (no more than 2 paragraphs) and a short biography of each of the workshop facilitators (1-2 sentences each). Please submit this electronically to us by 15 September.

We look forward to a really exciting conference in New York and to continued discussion with you. Check the conference web site for additions to the program and please encourage your friends and colleagues to attend.

on behalf of the Program Committee
-Joan Greenbaum and Peter Mambrey, co-chairs
