This directory, pub/crypt/ripem on rpub.cl.msu.edu, contains
the public key encryption program RIPEM, which is currently
in beta test.

To access files in this directory, you must have an FTP "account".
See the file GETTING_ACCESS in /pub/crypt for details.
I apologize for the inconvenience.

The source distribution is a compressed tar file;
the binaries for various platforms are collected in a subdirectory
and most are uncompressed and (and untarred). Be sure to use
binary mode FTP gets on these.

I ask that you not send RIPEM outside the USA or Canada.

The collected RIPEM public keys can be found in the text file
pubkeys.txt.

ripemusr.ps and ripemusr.txt are text files containing the RIPEM
User's Guide in PostScript and straight ASCII renderings.
They are also included in the full source distribution.

ftpripem.tar.Z is the source to my custom FTP server (based
on code from Germany), and a program to help me generate FTP
"accounts". It's of interest only if you intend to set up your
own secure FTP server.
