Testimonials Requested for Web Page Honoring
Terry Winograd & Eric Roberts

CPSR Members and Friends,

As you may know, Computer Professionals for Social Responsibility (CPSR) will be honoring Terry Winograd and Eric Roberts at a fundraising dinner scheduled for June 22 in Menlo Park, California.

Because of the important role that Terry and Eric have played in defining CPSR's mission and purpose over the years, CPSR's Board of Directors invites those of you who are not able to attend this event in person to participate through cyberspace. To make this possible, we will be creating a web page devoted to statements of tribute to Terry and Eric.

We know that many of you will want to participate in CPSR's cyberspace testimonial to these distinguished Stanford University professors of computer science and longtime advocates for socially responsible computing. Consequently, we ask that individual statements of tribute be limited to no more than 250 words. We encourage you to share this message with others who may know Terry and/or Eric, whether or not they are members of CPSR.

We welcome personal recollections, commentaries and brief vignettes about the impact that Terry and/or Eric have had on your life or on the field of computer science.

Because we plan to unveil this web page at the June 22 dinner, we will need your statement by June 15. Please forward statements to: akrause @ cpsr.org .

Thank you for helping to make this event a successful tribute to two very special people. If you haven't received an invitation to the dinner and would like one mailed to you, please contact Andrea Jepson:
