CPSR/Japan was planning to send a member to WSIS during Dec.10-12 in Geneva, however, it was canceled unfortunately. II. Board member Joichi Ito has continued to provide the technical comment about Basic Residents Registry system. The governor of Nagano ordered an security audit and published the brief report in December. Joi sent a letter about the audit and it raise the public mention. (The Committee in Nagano is examining the test results and the final result is not yet published.) BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF WHAT THE GROUP MIGHT DO IN THE FUTURE: CPSR/Japan will held a small informal meeting with CPSR president Nathaniel Borenstein at Tokyo in February.
